The second editorial on that link was warning that some of the local kine restaurants are charging more than the menu price. This has recently been a theme on the Big Island Thieves FB group.

For example, the $3.99 item is rang up at $4.25. Most people don't catch it, especially when mixed with other items, or it's misunderstood to be tax. The tax is on there, but at the $4.25 rate and not the $3.99 the item is advertised at.

Some who catch it think its a mistake. But a mistake that is done hundreds of times per day.

On the FB group the restaurants doing this are being outted. Apparently L&L is one of the worst.
