I received an email this morning subject line "New Status of your USPS delivery (code 28129012015):
Dear Customer,
Your item has arrived at January 24, but our courier was not able to deliver the parcel.
Review the document that is attached to this e-mail!
With sincere thanks,
Oscar Thomson,
USPS Support Clerk.
I tried opening the attachment, long story short, it ate up lots of my downloads!!! Now I need to call a tech to see if I can retrieve them.
I called Keaau post ofc and they said they've had one other complaint, it's a hoax and now it sounds like I have a virus.
I just so happened to be waiting for an overdue pkg so stupidly opened up the attachment.
BEWARE if you get an email like this. Interestingly my McVee virus scanner didn't find anything.
