My super nice neighbor is looking for a Physical Therapist in the Puna/Hilo/Kona side. He has a serious problem on one ankle, and the alternative is flying to Oahu three times a week. He had to give up teaching due to pain and difficulty getting around. He said he'd be okay if he had to drive to the West sidt/Kona side, as it's less hassle than flying to Oahu 3 times a week.
Thank anyone here that has any suggestions, and I will pass them on to Brian as soon as I hear. He has Blue Cross through HMSA, but no flight benefits.

Dr. Harvelee Leite-Ah Yo and her son Kanania Leite-Ah Yo at Hawaii Physical Therapy and Chiropractic did wonders with my niece's totally trashed ankle when she rolled it hiking out to the lava flow and reawakened an old volleyball injury that wasn't treated right the first time. Dr. Harvelee started out as a PT and then went back to school to become a chiropractor, but a lot of their practice is still PT stuff. Don't expect to get in and out in a hurry, but they are thorough and attentive.

Thanks, shockwave rider! I got this information to my good neighbor, Brian, and he is going to make contact soon. This would be wonderful, as Brian live in HPP. He has been having to fly to Oahu, and his insurance won't pay for he flights, so this will save him tons of time and money.

After being sent to 4 other extremely time wasting, money grabbing, useless Physical Therapists in Hilo, I finally stumbled on Dawn Esser at Big Island Physical Therapy in Hilo and I do not exaggerate when I say she saved my life. She is one of my angels.
It never hurts to have a choice of good people when you need help.
