Boom in lower Makuu

Last night I heard a boom/explosion. I thought it might be the sea, fireworks, thunder or, the third time, a gun. I just got home and heard it again. Anyone else hear anything? What is it?

Dunno, but we heard it, too - a little before pm -- I called police non-emergency #. They said they'd send someone out to check. Sounded like 4th St. dead-end to us and to neighbors. Maybe even 5th? Sounded like a cherry bomb both times, but maybe louder? I think too loud to be gunshots. We also heard voices, so not sure if it was other people outside talking about it, or partiers/whoever was making the booms.

DID just hear gunshots from 2nd Street dead-end, maybe on Shipman land. What in the world is going on??

We heard it 10 blocks away. Sounded like thunder from here.
