Water bug inundation
#1
Anyone wake up this morning with thousands of water bugs on screens and windows, hanging on clothes on our outdoor laundry line, on the walls around our bathroom night light etc.... Never seen so many bugs like this at one time. And these normally slow moving bugs were super agitated. We're in lower HPP.

Did the non-stop earthquakes drive them from the ground? Our geese have been acting strangely and also the coquis have sometimes been going silent at night when it hasn't been cold enough to cause that. Also one of our dogs just started whining at night.

What are water bugs? If I google it I see la cucaracha. I'm also in lower HPP, nothing unusual happening here.

I think they're real name is false bombardier beetles. They show up sometimes at night attracted to a light source which in our case is usually around our bathroom night light.

Gray-black with an orange "neck"? Those are false blister beetles, family Oedemeridae.
