Big Island Blogs: Punaweb Members?
#1
I just came across a Punawebs members blog that I didn't know that they had.

I know Aaron has his Kona Blog, Carrie has vintage and Velvet, *edit* Rumi has Moon Over Hawaii

I know someone else just started one recently *cough* I'll leave that persons name out unless they want to unleash it on us as the others have already mentioned theirs on here.

These are sites where they talk about things that they like and are not trying to sell anything.

Is there any other Punaweb members that have a blog where they aren't selling anything that they might like to show here on Punaweb?

*Edit* now I have one:

New blog posted here

(I hope editing posts doesn't count against the new 5 limit)

Blogging seems to be the way to go!

No restrictions and I can talk all the stink I want![^]

Damon, what is so wrong with someone making money? Supposedly medicine is a labor of love and concern for thy brother, making money is not of importance, then why is there a shortage of docs here? Much of the info we share has the potential to make someone money, or not have to pay it out!

You seem to have a very Statelike attitude towards capitalism! Minimise the making of same by taxation!

Thanks for the link to my blog, Damon. Featuring a new artist every week is a real kick for me!! They are amazing and talented people and have interesting stories, too. Take the time to read them...I'm not very hard sell. The process is the thing for me.

We live in Puna and since we do, it's valid for me to get the word out here on Punaweb. If you know some great local artists with websites so I can get pictures, lemme know - I would love to feature them!!! Help me show the world what kind of talent can be found in a sleepy little Hawaiian town.

So far I have visitors to my blog from 14 different countries and 40 different States - Wha-hooo! [:X][:X]

Damon, lighten-up, life's to short.I enjoy reading the different topics and business blogs, Because of the cost of advertising in the local paper, there is a lot of creative talent in Hawaii that we would not be aware of except for venues like this. Real estate blogs are also informative as they are up-to-date on the latest issues/laws.In many of the responses it shows people care, which is what makes Hawaii a special place.

I don't like to comment on other contributors' forum behavior, but I checked into the Punaweb Forum just now and saw Damon's name on nearly half of the threads on the first page of the listings. Damon, I'd say that you already have a blog. It's called PunaWeb, maybe a name change is in order, DamonWeb. [Big Grin]

geez Les, I think you just hit the hammer on da nail brah! But there are several reasons for which an individual will spend almost all of his or her's waking moments on a place like here. Punaweb, or any one of the social networks( My Space & Facebook) have an addiction element to them. So it is not our place to guess why one would wanna spend all day at a keyboard instead of outside...especially enlight of our weather the past two to three weeks. Not often you'll see westside weather often on the eastside. Today looks like we are back to our regular Puna weather. Now, this is real sit at your keyboard & stare at your monitor weather!!! But again to each his own!

Les, if it's not his blog, at the very least he should be elected Mayor of Punaweb, right?
