A low pressure system will bring more rain today and tomorrow, with snowfall on Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. Merry Christmas Eve!
The National Weather Service said on Monday an upper-level low southeast of the Big Island will slowly drift northward, bringing more clouds and showers to most of the state.
That also means snow will likely fall on the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa by Christmas Day on Tuesday, forecasters say.

Looks like a dusting of snow. Is that enough for a White Christmas?

A meter? Try a centimeter...
“Our model predicted that 1cm (0.4 inches) of snow fell over 12 hours between Monday 24 of December at 8PM and Tuesday 25 of December at 8AM HST at the summit.”

There will be more snow coming over the next few days though.
