Online sale. Only 800 watts, but could be useful with an AC charger for charging batteries on cloudy days, or maybe running a mini fridge and some lights.

Thanks for posting! This is exactly what I've been looking for. For charging solar batteries.
My first efforts to buy this didn't work- I couldn't come up with any Hawaii address they would ship to. Until I realized it wasn't the generator they were unwilling to "ship". It was the extended warranty!

I wonder if that would run a catchment pump? A full sized fridge by itself?

It wouldn't be able to start my catchment pump. It "should" be able to run a full size fridge no problem.

I think it could run a small pump; my little flojet is under 100 watts.

I've been using the Chinese "Allpower" for years ... same price, not as compact ... the voltage fluctuates a lot but most appliances don't seem to mind, the lights flicker a bit ... premixed gas didn't work, but aprox 50:1 two cycle oil does ok. They were available from O'Reilly for about that price, "1000" watts. Best use is to charge batteries with it.

Did anyone get this? How do you like it? Even now, it is only $179.

I got it. I haven't used it much other than to test it. It's much quieter than I was expecting. Started right up and ran fine. Economy setting works great. At the price I should have bought a second one as a spare.

I don't think they are currently shipping them to Hawaii. Let us know if you figure out a way for them to ship it. If they wont ship via online order I guess you can go order it in person at the customer service desk in Hilo for ship-to-store via their backdoor method (you will have to pay 9% CA sales tax). I've noticed the HD "Buy of the day" they will ship things to Hawaii they otherwise wouldn't. We have an outdoor sofa en route right now.
ETA: I've been trying to keep an eye on their deals since it gives Hawaii a rare glimpse into what mainland free shipping is like, but if anybody else notices them shipping cheap inverter generators again please let me know.
p.s. the sofa is currently on a truck headed towards a barge terminal. They are shipping it through

I haven't found a cheap enough 24v (30+v) charger to pair with mine, so it is still "new in box". I somehow can't bring myself to pay more for the charger than I did for the inverter!
