Good morning everyone. I know this isn't a new topic but I don't seem to be able to find what I thought I read before about this in "search".
Shipping a 20 foot via Matson and woud like to have an alternate delivery company from Port of Hilo. Would also like very much someone who can deliver and set container on the ground for unloading and thought I remember reading that before here. Any experiences and recommendations would be very much appreciated.
Mahlo.

conans will bring out a giant forklift and put your container on the ground, and i think keaau services in kurtistown might also, they would definitely bring it out for you and that rate would be cheaper.

Lokahi, I'd highly recommend Ben's Towing - Union 76 up in Kurtistown. They beat all my other quotes by a big margin. They use a crane, so were able to place the container with incredible accuracy! I don't have their info at the moment cuz I'm on the mainland - bleh!

Thanks for the tip. Can you tell us about how long ago Ben's Towing was undercutting prices? How big was the reach on the crane?
Thanks!

punasarah bens towing is the same as Keaau Services in Kurtistown they do just about everything with big equipment. they are much cheaper, i just dont know the reach on the crane. give em a call. i know a while back they had a problem with the crane, to see if it is working. depending on where you are if they can do what you want they will be the cheapest. i think conans charged us about 900 last time to bring out the container and use the forklift pretty pricy.
