There was a Craigslist ad (Farm and Garden) yesterday to share a purchase of one of the $266 bags of Siesta fire ant bait. I answered it with my phone number and just got a call saying there was one other interested person, so at this point it would be $88 each. If anyone else is interested, it would be cheaper for all of us. I would prefer the 5 person split at $66.
He is going to wait a few days to see if there are any more responses.
The Craigslist ad response contact email is: 24028f72cece31d287f60256e8688d02@sale.craigslist.org

Does it work on the small black ants as well? They are battling it out on my property and the black ones seem to be winning. I have not really wanted to hurt them, but they are trying to get a foothold in my house now...

Just throwing this out there...
We sometimes "host" a "Siesta Day" meaning we buy the expensive bag and part it out to friends and colleagues... never for a penny of profit just everybody buying exactly their share of what it costs us to buy the bag. We even make people bring their own containers so we don't lose money on big ziplock bags etc. It's a communal purchase with us fronting the money and bringing the Siesta from Hilo.
The reason I bring this up is we ALWAYS have more people wanting the Siesta than we have Siesta to share with everybody. While I hope nobody would even consider scamming people this way, if you bought some "Siesta" granules off some anonymous Craigslist seller you could be getting something cheaper like Amdro or Probait... and you might not even know the difference because any of the cheaper Siesta alternatives would still knock the ants back, just not as well.
My suggestion is only buy from people you know. Even if you only know them here on Punaweb. Maybe somebody here can host a "Siesta Day".
Incidentally, buying the Siesta in the 15# bags is SO much cheaper than when they sold them in the smaller tubs per pound. Even if they start selling the little tubs again we will still have Siesta Days just to save a substantial amount of $.
The cheapest place we had found to buy Siesta was CPS in Hilo. I don't remember what I paid exactly but it was less than this Craigslist ad. That looks like the eBay price.

We split a bag of Siesta at Ag Nutrien (CPS)at noon today. We paid our shares directly to them and split the bag outside.
Possibly another split if others interested.

Thanks for the update. That is an excellent suggestion!
ETA: Forgot to ask, what does a bag go for these days?

My 5 pound (1/3 bag) was $88.67, so $266, including tax.
