Hawaiian Homelands Casino
#1
DHHL has proposed building and operating a casino on their land in Kapolei.  They claim it will generate more money with which they can skim grift build more houses for the 28,000 Native Hawaiians on their waiting list.

The proposal heads to the Hawaiian Homes Commission next week for a vote. If passed, a DHHL spokesperson tells KITV4 it would head to the governor, then to the legislature.

If you think they have corruption, waste, malfeasance, and incompetence at DHHL/OHA now, just give them a casino and see the heights they take it to.

Rail completion will cost about $170k per linear foot, can they be more corrupt than that?

NO!  To the casino disgrace!

If the Hawaiians revere this land as they claim, they would
*NEVER*
permit such debauchery!

I am not Hawaiian but I would stand with them against it.

Oh, I think they've got a shot at it, and they'll try really hard.  Better not to give them the chance.

There’s a rail station currently under construction in Kapolei (the proposed site for the casino).
It’s a corruption twofer, and one way to increase ridership on HART.  Train tickets to Kapolei however should require a round trip purchase.  So the gamblers can get back home after the casino cleans them out.

If they need money to build homes for native Hawaiians and gambling is out of the question, legalize the selling of recreational marijuana on DHHL land. Then the state could tax it heavily and not have to furlough teachers! But NO... that's bad for Hawaiians also.  Pretty soon the state will start feeling the "full" financial impact of the virus on it's people for years to come.  And their only answer to that is to cut programs, furlough people and possibility increase taxes.

I think this is a great idea! Especially because it's not near my house!

I also think it's a fantastic idea.  Hawaiian mafia would grow stronger but the pros would outweigh the cons. Pun intended.
