What do Puna/Pahoa/leilani/nanawale area residents think of PGV’s noise before and after the fissure 8 eruption?
The lava formed a wall around it, curiously, which may be deadening the noise somewhat, but maybe won’t if they go a lot higher in generating capacity. The lava changed the local acoustics.
I could hear it at night just barely in the upper part of Leilani. But supossedly they have permits to go higher (and will go higher) in generating capacity in the future.
Ummm, it’s the noise, once again, but the surroundings have changed this time.
Comments welcomed as I have major decisions about real estate to make.
Thanks,
Ccat

To each his own but PGV noise didn't bother me before and I lived closer than anyone else.
Before you purchase any real estate I recommend spending time on or very near the property at all hours of the day.
Also, the PGV buyout program was closed back in 2016 so caveat emptor.

If it's constant, it's white noise.
