Our neighbors poisoned an albezia tree on the vacant lot next door to them once it became legal to do so because they thought it would take out their house if it fell. Well, instead of gradually falling apart in small pieces, a huge chunk of it came down in yesterday's wind and took out their power line and a stretch of expensive fencing. At least it missed the house, and HELCO reconnected the power in about three and a half hours.

What's the albizia murder technique and herbicide?

EDIT: Nevermind. Google is god.

I used a cordless drill instead of a hatchet. Keeps the Milestone from leaking around the edges of the cut.

They should have a cold advisory also. After that sudden torrential downpour the thermometer said 63 degrees at 3pm on the HPP coast! The low last night was 63!

Perhaps the warning sirens should start if the temperature drops below 60? Wink

I know I am in the minority here, but the temperature feels great to me. Then again, I just flew home last night after spending almost a month on the mainland where it was mostly in the 30's and 40's.

I have to drive to Kona to pick up my granddaughter at the airport.
I usually stop at the county park to use the restroom.
Right now the wind is gusting to 51mph and wind chill is 41.
Considering depends.

The brown dust storms on the Pohakuloa stretch of Saddle were thicker than the worst fog on Hilo side!
