Yes, I am getting tired of the down time. Our server seemed fine for a number of years but it's been way to many problems lately. As soon as my web master get back from vacation we will be locating a new server for Punaweb.

Rob, just a very hearty thanks for all you do in keeping this forum up & running (& when it is not up.... lets us know that we really do appreciate all of what you are doing for us.... along with giving some of us lots of minutes more in the 'real' world.... my turtle is all the better for it... now it is back to grouting for me!)
Mahalo,
Edit to add (no ?? for me, yet...)
Well, with the the down time, I played around a little with my wet saw & thought I would share our first almost completely remodeled room.... (just a little more trim & sealing the grout...):

More Editting
cutting the turtle out took an afternoon - cutting the floor tile another, laying the floor a three (mainly knee/back timeouts...) grouting one. Recovery time.... still working on it...
the roof trusses are aluminum metal... the insulated suspended ceiling had been at the bottom of the trusses at 8' & we put it up at the top to increase the ventilation of the rooms

Another Mahalo for Rob. Punaweb has been a godsent for us and We really appreciate all your work and efforts at keeping it up. Servers do tend to get cranky with age, just like me. Again Thanks.

what ISP are you using?
Are you running your own server?
or just tell me to mind my own business [

Truth is I don't know the difference between a server and a host. Someone explain it to me and then I will have learned something.

LOL
a Server is a computer that runs a program (like a web site) and a Client is another computer that connects to the Server to access the program the Server is running.
Host can be used to describe the Server running the website... ie Hosting the website, or maybe its your PC hosting the web browser.
easy...

Rob, from what I've heard, I *think* that PunaWeb is being hosted by an ISP & it's *their* server that's going kaflooey. Meaning, you don't phsycially have a PW server that's sitting under your desk buzzing away. You pay someone each month & they let you put PunaWeb on their servers, yeah?
IF so..
Typically, your Host should get a new/different/WORKING server & move Punaweb to the stable server at no cost to you. You pay them to have your site up and running 24/7, so it's their responsibility to have working hardware & such.
In the real world that doesn't always happen, cuz servers cost money
It's totally legit for you to ask them to move PW to a stable server if this happens again. If they say they can't ask why.
