There were four separate "Topics" created in the forum today all about the earthquake. A simple scan of the top "Topics" listed in the forum would have been a good idea before creating a new “Topic”. That way everyone’s contributions could have all been in one place.
FWIW,
Andrew

Andrew if you take a look at 3 out of the 4 posts they were all within 5 minutes of each other. From 0707 to 0712 we were reporting on what was happening at that time. And that was before we lost the internet all together. So there wasn't anything simple about our posts we were all trying to get info out as it was happening and very excited. At the time I posted there may have been one post I don't think I saw any. Take a deep breath.

Now Andrew remember; when the extrodinary or Sh_t happens, we all have a take on it. I think 6.3 or 6.5 qualifies for ex don't you?

My breathing is fine. Thanks though. Yes it was exciting. I agree. I woke up. My point is not really to cast blame or anything like that. I was just thinking that it would have made a more interesting thread if everyones comments were logged in one place. If my post came across as heavy handed it certainly wasn't my intention. I'm just an organized kind of guy is all.
Cheers,
Andrew

Hi guys. Couldn't get on the net all day. Couldn't make outgoing most of the day. Had people from Phoenix area calling like crazy and leaving messages on our voicemails. We were in bed and talking to our 16 year old in Phoenix when it hit. Kinda brought back some not so fond memories of Northridge...glad we were on this side of it 'cause I just knew it was a biggie somewhere. We are blessed for sure...sent some good vibes Konaside and up north. A local friend called me earlier from Honolulu...she's just in for 3 days and said they had no lights when they landed...but they were in good spirits.

I tried to call last night and couldn't get through. Dave is a thnk ahead kind of guy so I am sure they are all right. They are pretty much self sufficent so my guess is I will interupt his working on the house when I call. I am hoping the new construction was in a position that it held up.
Funny thing is that of the three people I tried to call I could only get through to my friends on Kaiwiki.

Carrie, Jim saw Dave & Sophie at Home Depot last night (Sunday). They are fine, the dew from the new roof was all sent a shaking at once & it looked like a rain off the roof. Everything is fine with their homes, & they are fine. (also noticed that Dave posted on the Buiding forum last night, with more details on how their house is ok).
By the way, I couldn't sleep because of a midterm & a vagrant in our yard....Why are you up at this hour?)
Aloha, Carey
