Does the Rocky Horror Picture Show have a following on Hawaii Island?
We are headed to a production tonight in costume and with props. It will be a first for me, but from what I hear it will be a lot of laughs.

My husband and I were just talking about the Broadway production of that show last night. So, YES... you can count us as fans of RHPS! We have not seen the movie in years and were talking about renting it soon.

Sit in the back of the theater if you don't want to get wet or hit with hot dogs and rice....or just bring an umbrella[8D]
I can't tell you how many midnight shows we went to.

So, Mella... how was the show? Do you have pictures to share with us? Did you get hit with hot dogs and rice????

Hey what a blast and a half! Myself and 4 conservative girlfriends (one a choir director! LOL, a methodist, a catholic, and 2 presbyterians!!) went to a live performance of the RHPS. The first time for all of us.
First time attendees were asked to raise their hands if this was their first show. Duh, my girlfriends ALL raise their hands and I'm laughing at them down down! So here comes the woman with the red lipstick to put the BIG red V's on the foreheads of some! LOL
We laughed until we had tears, we tried to sing a few songs, but were missing too much of the show and costuming trying to read lyrics in the dark. No longer is rice allowed, so some had bubbles, didn't see any hot dogs, no bics allowed so some had small flashlights, some confetti, squirt guns were allowed and newspapers. Many attending were in full regalia, and personally some of them should have covered a little more! One of my girlfriends wore all black, but put a lavender corset over her cloths. HAHA the methodist! LOL I wore motorcycle clothing.
The talent in our little neck of the woods was so outstanding, an absolutely professional top flight performance. The lead Frankfurter was with out a doubt someone we feel we will be seeing in the future. The narrator gave a stunning performance as did Riff Raf and Magenta. Really memorable! A lot of the background actors were college students having too much fun! The band was very loud, but very good. The makeup, the costuming was so professional. Being in a small club of say 120 seats or so put everyone up front and so close that the makeup techniques made us all jealous! LOL
I'm sure seeing this in Britain or San Francisco would be more thrilling, but we more fun than is legal, I'm sure!
