Aloha,everyone!
I need to cut some expenses on my project, and it looks like the convenient driveway has to go.
I never had a cinder driveway before.
I have a regular car with regular tires.
Is any particular problems with cinder driveway?
Thank you in advance.

My main problem is that they track into the house. If you use cinders and then do crushed rock around the house, that helps.

If you're in a dry area it can blow dust. It gets tracked into the house, and washes away on slopes.

Thanks,leilainiguy and DanielP.
How you are dealing with the cinder being tracked in the house?
(Except for wiping it non-stop?)
I have a 70+ pounds cinder-tracker with "unlimited access" to the house through the doggie door..

Stay away from cinders they crush and blow away.
Use 1 1/2" or 2" drain rock it's a bit more but will last much longer.

Kahunascott,thank you for the advice.
But I need some education on the subject - what is the drain rock ?

I would wholeheartedly agree with Daniel. Cinder in your shoes will track into your house and destroy flooring and carpet in a manner that is scarce to be believed. I'd avoid it.

Thank you,JWITZ!
I guess if I am planning to have a white tile all over the house,it would be the total disaster..

I have something that I call gravel in my driveway (I think that is what others call it, too). It is not cinder. It works great, allows water to pass through and keeps dust down. You have to rake it to keep it pretty, which I don't because I don't have a rake that long, contrary to what has been rumored.

Glen, where do you get the gravel? I don't remember Home Depot selling something like that..
And how bad the gravel is on tires?
