I have a 3 year old avocado tree which is about 10 feet tall. It hasn't produced any avocado's yet (but looks very healthy) but I noticed a white powdery substance on the branches (not the leaves). Everytime I mow around it and lean into the branches I get it all over me. I was wondering if anyone knows what it is and.... if it is detrimental to the tree...what to use to get rid of it?
