Despite our fights with vog we have some great hydroponic lettuce coming up. It is very slow, taking 8 to 10 weeks instead of the 6 from summer but with about 80 buckets going, we got greens!

Winter solstice has passed, there will be more sun each day now so your greens will start growing a lot faster again and the chooks will lay more now, too. Spring is almost here! Yay!
I've been thinking something could be done with rain gutters, net pots, a barrel and a solar powered pump but I haven't done anything about it yet. Still need the solar powered pump, among other things. I keep seeing strawberries dripping big red berries over the sides of rain gutters but other than putting a packet of strawberry seeds in the refrigerator (they need cold to sprout) nothing has been done.

No Glen, they don't. That is the beauty of the system. Come on up to
Glenwood and see how it is working
