virus alert
#1
A virus that has recently been running rampant among people I know is passing itself off as AVG antivirus, a legitimate program. I know four people who have been hit. Not me because I'm very careful, but you never know. People using AVG are of course especially susceptible (I use AVAST). This bug is presented as AVG 360. Do not click on it if it comes up as a pop up. It can also come up in your browser. As of a couple of days ago it blows right by legitimate AVG installations. I don't yet know how it is transmitted. If caught early it is easily removed by a freeware program called SUPERAntiSpyware, which can be downloaded from CNET's http://www.download.com
Full link to the download page if you want to cut and paste:

Puna connection is you could get it in Puna. I'll delete this post in a day or so.
