Later on I am planning to install a UV water filter on my well system.
Most likely I am going to buy them from Diamond Drilling.
According to my builder they have very good price.(And according to me [
],they know their business very well).
I don't know much about the subject.
I'd appreciate any practical information.
What stores sell them?
What are the most efficient types ?

Thank you,Daniel.
I'll definitely check it out.
The only thing I don't like is the brand name[

Well, Its not that you need a special permit, its just that it needs to be on your original permit. Its like adding a toilet or sink, you need to amend your permit. If it is on your original plans then you don't need to do anything.

Aloha, I was not aware of any issues regarding the adding of any type of filter system UV or otherwise that needs to be on a permit.
It's really not like adding a toilet to your plans. Just go to your favorite store to buy your filter, and install it. You can also find deals online that will beat any price in town including shipping to your front door. Although, I like to keep my $$$ local to support the place I call home!!! Mahalo

Thank you,HiloBob.
Do you have any particular filters type and brand names you can recommend?

My systems include a 3 stage whole house filter housing & then the UV filter. I use a step down method of filtering using a 10 micron sediment filter to a 5 micron carbon block filter to a 1 micron carbon block filter prior to the UV filter. It's kind of an over kill BUT I drink my water!!! Most UV's require a min. of 5 micron filter prior to the UV filter. I prefer Liquatec filters, and Sterilight UV. Both are easy to find and work great. You will be able to drink your water with no fears at all.

P.S. I do not work in the building or construction industry. I only speak from what I have done for my own homes. Just my humble opinion on UV's & filters. Mahalo
