Now here you go again...always trying to help everyone you can...I saw that in the paper and John is applying for a job through it. It seems to be a very well done program and may be such a help to people looking for a job! Great idea, Pam, posting it here!

UH-Hilo has a job Fair today, Monday 10/16/06. A lot of recruiters have booths set up. (though some are a little short handed, as not all of the staffing managed to get a flight here.)
Good luck to any job seekers
Aloha, Carey
P.S. UH has a pretty inclusive link site:

I went to the web site that Carey provided (http://career.uhh.hawaii.edu/HI_jobs_alumni.php) and it has to be THE most comprehensive listing of job web sites for Hawaii. I've been checking all the web sites listed there, plus some for the federal govt. that are not listed. Nonetheless, this is an excellent resource for anyone looking for work in Hawaii and I recommend that Rob Tucker, our esteemed Administrator, consider placing this link to the "EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES" location that's currently inactive.

http://www.dice.com is a popular site for tech professionals. I see over 100 jobs in Honolulu, but only one on the Big Island.

http://seeker.dice.com/jobsearch/servlet/JobSearch?LOCATION_OPTION=3&N=0&Hf=0&NUM_PER_PAGE=30&Ntk=JobSearchRanking&op=300&op=300&FREE_TEXT=&Ntx=mode+matchall&AREA_CODES=&AC_COUNTRY=1525&ZIPCODE=&RADIUS=64.37376&ZC_COUNTRY=1525&COUNTRY=1525&STAT_PROV=1812&METRO_AREA=33.78715899%2C-84.39164034&TRAVEL=0&TAXTERM=0&SORTSPEC=0&FRMT=0&DAYSBACK=30&x=35&y=13

Under the advanced search options there is a "Search telecommuting jobs only" which might be useful for someone although I've never used it.
