DEA was out in force again yesterday. They spent all day it seems in the hawaiian acres - fern forest area. "Our" house being directly "hovered over" two or three times - different copters. Dog under the bed, work desk vibrating kinda of close
It was like a scene out of a vietnam era war movie , having helicopters somewhere on the horizon in a search or hover pattern all day long. (9 till about three thirty with a break for lunch) They spent a lot of time going in and out of hawaiian acres... I think they did well for themselves over there.
At least they are keeping prices up, one of these days they will plant a chopper dead smack in the middle of a three bedroom, and the party will end in my opinion. Not before vote or no vote

They were all over Orchidland too. Nondescript-looking choppers (grey in color, no obvious markings) I figured were probably DEA.

according to the article ... they "deputized" some national guard units
I always thought there were constitutional issues with state forces acting under federal orders applying federal law?
There were choppers near my house too, for about thirty minutes. They looked blue gray to me, but when they were low they were over a bit from me with trees in-between so I couldn't see them. It was totally obnoxious. All day long would be hell. This is so wrong that they can do this.
I can understand why Green Harvest jerks who had a sweet deal getting to pick through the harvest and confiscate the best for themselves would be trying to keep it going, but they should be stopped.

We were eating lunch in the yard at my daughter's house in Hawaiian Beaches Sunday and a white helocopter kind of ruined our picnic because it was flying back and forth for about 30 minutes. My 7 year-old grand-daughter liked it and got her binoculars out but the rest of us were annoyed. It was pretty low. I agree that someday some tragedy will happen and one of them will crash into someone's house and it will be too late for those people. This scary annoyance should not be happening.

Leilani is getting buzzed right now. It's NOT HELCO, the chopper isn't following the streets.

Yup billy and his boys protecting their wallets and indoor grows - grin
At least thats how I would write the plot in the book
With as much pot money as there is in Puna... The criminal large scale indoor growers could (may) own the political system by default - I would, - money talks way louder than morality to a political being.
We are still a plantation economy / society in many ways
follow the money...
