We have gotten over 5 inches in mid HPP since it started last night, 2 of those are since 7 this morning. Our catchment was down a third and with a bunch of family coming to stay starting Christmas eve I am happy to get the rain!

I had been working on my plumbing and catchment was getting low, so yesterday I went and bought a tank to haul water in. It only drizzled here last night so I went and filled the tank. Since my return at least 4 inches.Go figure.

Amazing! We had a crack of thunder that just sent the dogs under furniture! LOL!

It can stop already. The catchment is overflowing and the dogs have their legs crossed . . . that is when they are not cowering under the furniture because of the thunder. When I tell them they need to benjo-benjo, they look at me like I am crazy. Five inches so far here in central HPP.

Well, it has been a record rain for this date in Hilo - smashing the old Dec. 19 rain record by over 2" already - almost 0.5' so far... and still more to go! (no where near a record rain for a day in Hilo.... that is almost 2' of rain in a day!)
Hey, between others fetchin' water & my washing the car yesterday, it was bound to happen... good thing I also planted some plants Thurs. & Fri., although they may start floating away... too bad I didn't get around to WAXING the car... |
