A Gallup pole in August listed Hawaii #1 for well-being, Utah #2. We all know Hawaii is number one right!

Being a former resident of Utah, (born and raised) and a current resident of Hawaii, I always felt that these two states had a special connection. Both are great places to live!

Indeed a wake-up call for Hawaii. Now that I think about it, everyone I've ever met from Utah was a little too happy for comfort. And think about it, Hawaii second to Utah? Doesn't that strike you as kind of weird? All this time thought the happy people (outside of Hawaii, of course) lived in Florida and Northern California. (The rest live in Canada.) So Hawaii residents, we are now faced with the daunting challenge of striving to be even happier. I pledge to do my part. ;-)

Shout out from Utah here and I have to say WTF? Maybe it has something to do with the other #1 ranks for Utah (anti-depresants/prescription drug abuse and porn consumption). I am a generally happy person but can hardly wait to escape this state!
