Giovanni's Shrimp - Open for Busy-ness

I just tried out our newest food venture in Pahoa Village with a couple plates of garlic shrimp and rice. My wife and girls like their shrimp so this was an official test.

The unanimous verdict was Yummy!

Now I did get to talk to a very delightful young woman named Liaka who is the entrepreneur. The family comes from a long line of Oahu Shrimp Truck (the original) and they know their stuff.

I want to welcome them to Pahoa and hope that the community gives them a nice hello and tries out the shrimp. It's a great thing we have so many nice dining opportunities in our village.

Location: Across from Luquin's next to Boogie Woogie Pizza.

Tomorrow their phone comes on for take out orders 965-5633
Assume the best and ask questions.

That is great Rob... I will surely check them out soon. Where exactly are they?

Rob: Good point. I'll edit it in above.

Just got back from Giovanni's.

If you like a lot of garlic and shrimp cooked just right, this is the place for you.We brought enough leftover shrimp home to have another meal.

Great Shrimp! Carol and I had one full and one half serving of Garlic Jumbo Shrimp. That gave us 9 shrimp and 1 and 1/2 scoops of rice each. Plenty each and a real mouth breaker. Giovanni's is another reason to get your bites in Pahoa.

The Nitsche family owns Giovanni's Shrimp Truck on Oahu. They bought it from John Giovanni in the mid '90s. Giovanni's was the first shrimp truck on Oahu.

I hate to ask such a naive question, but are there shrimp in Hawaii? If not, where do these shrimp come from?
