GROWING RAINBOWS- A community event
Day : MAY 15,2010 - Saturday
Place : Maku'u Market, near Pahoa
Time : 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission : FREE
This is an outside the box community event, where various agencies have been brought together to connect with the community and each other. We want to help inspire and strengthen everyone for a fruitful and healthy future by promoting education, health, self-sustainability and more. This event is like a giant town meeting where issues can be accessed at the grass roots level. An event by the community, for the community, if you will.
There will be informational booths, silly photo opportunity with character stand-ins,
FOODBANK food drive, hula by the Alu Like Seniors, and more.
If you have a talent or motivational story, or know a craft that you could share, want to organize a club, like a book club , or like quilting, or like gardening,etc... Then this is the annual event to come to. Many community topics will be discussed.
We also still need a sound system, volunteers to help set up and break done, donations of bottled water and other drinks, other material donations are needed as well. For example, we are trying to put together little food boxes for the 20 Seniors that will be dancing. They need things like peanut butter, bread, crackers etc...
So, please come out that day and help make a difference and have fun doing it.
