Hi, I am a Punatic freelance writer. Hope this is the proper forum for this question. If not, a back channel e-mail is fine. I am interested in interviewing any local vet who has lung problems due to exposure to sulfur dioxide from open-air burn pits at military bases in Iraq. The military used the burn-pits to dispose of waste, plastic, unexploded ordinance, body parts, etc. There was also a large sulfur fire at Mishraq State Sulfur Mine near Mosul, Iraq in 2003 which burned for 3 weeks.
