I have lost all digital tv reception today. Only using small antenna.
I've been watching local channels via rabbit ears for months.
Now suddenly nothing...
I know it's not my TV because I'm still getting analog.
Anyone else having this problem?
Think It could be weather related?

A radio station (95.9) was talking about various interruption of services today due to a severed fiber optic cable.

Uh-huh.
Thanks,
Glad to know it's not a malfunction on my end.

Yep....AWS wireless is having serious performance problems also. It's connecting...but it's slower than dialup. Called their help line and they said it's due to fiber optic cable. They said on the recording it could take "days or even weeks to repair".

Like Kimo wires I use over-the-air TV and still have nothing, yet there are reports that cable is back. I assumed that the broadcast antennae were fed by cable but might be wrong about that. This would have to happen on a Tuesday, it's about the only evening I watch TV! All I have is one religious channel...

We stopped off at the new Time Warner office today when we were in Hilo. They are not officially open there yet, but a very nice lady was there just to let people know what was going on. She said they would get the phone and internet up ASAP on borrowed space from other providers. Video will come back when they get the cable fixed instead of rerouting through someone else's cable on borrowed space.
They have been working on a backup system based in Kona so the can reroute through their own lines, but weren't done enough for this event. I hope you all get a prorated cable bill, that service is EXPENSIVE!

Over-the-air TV seems to be back. Anyone tell me who got thrown off Hell's Kitchen?

Thanks for the update, Melo1112! Unfortunately, antenna TV seems to have died again today although the channels are there. The symptoms are very similar to poor signal quality, scrambled pictures, no sound every so often and the occasional complete blackout which lasts a few seconds at a time. This happens on all digital channels.
Anyone know what's going on? My signal strength is excellent so I think it's at the source rather than my own reception.

I just logged on to complain about the same thing Tom. My reception in intermittent as well. It's very irritating. I'm constantly adjusting my rabbit ear antenna to get better reception.
Are you using Rabbit ears or a large outdoor antenna?
