We are going to remodel an older house, and depending on what we find, may have to take it all down and rebuild. It definitely needs a new roof. Single story house, added on to over the years.
To start with, we need to find someone (or a crew) who can remove roof, siding, existing walls. I would like to salvage what is still in good condition, but if it's not worth it, take it all down.
Can anyone recommend someone for this work?
Thank you.

You might want to discretely look into permitting issues if you plan to do any serious demolition. I think that once one tears down over a certain percentage of an existing structure, it requires a new construction permit rather than just a remodel. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me can elaborate on this.

You can replace existing siding, you can replace existing roofing, rotted boards like purlins, etc but once you get into the electrical and plumbing replacement you are supposed to be pulling permits.
A complete demo/removal of a previously permitted building does require a demo permit.
The code reads for things like say a ceiling fan, swap out a cracked toilet bowl, or a garbage disposal that you are supposed to pull a permit. I dont think anyone every does but when you get into the new circuits, or adding fixtures .... thats a little different.
