Synchronized Christmas Lightshow!
#1
Aloha everyone,

My Christmas Lightshow is up again this year, with over 30,000 lights.

Come check it out, from 7pm to 9pm daily, weather permitting. Down Makuu Drive, right on 18th, go all the way down to the dead end, I'm on the left. Or you can type in "punalights" into maps.google.com

I am allowing people to park in the front of my yard (neighbors request) to alleviate traffic on the road. Go to punalights.com for more information.

Merry Christmas!

Hi Stan,

If I was a neighbor I gotta admit I might get tired of the traffic unless I was into it like you.

Just wondering ... Are your neighbors cool with it ?

Last year we went a few times and always came creeping in with parking lights on and quietly turned around to park. We picked up bottles or trash if we saw it.

Are you saying we should ONLY park in the yard this year ???

Super thanks for putting this up.
aloha,
pog

Hello everyone, and thank you for the kind words. My neighbor talked to me in late November and suggested opening up my yard to those who come and watch. My neighbor directly across from me is really cool, he lets people use his two driveways to park and watch.

If you guys come, I'll be outside directing where you all can park, etc. Pog, thank you for picking up opala. My neighbor found some beer bottles in his yard from last year, and that really ticked him off.

My neighbors admit, that this is really a good thing to put on, for all the children (and those of you who are young at heart). Nothing makes me feel better than hearing children get so excited by the light show. As I always say, "without children, there would be no Christmas."

Several people tried to give me donations, but I had to kindly reject their offer. I'm thinking of teaming up with a charity for any donations I receive, but that will come later.

Parking is available in my yard, and in the right of way fronting my yard and my neighbor across the street from me.

Thank you for supporting punalights.

For directions, type in "punalights" into maps.google.com

Several videos are up from this years show at Vimeo:

My partner and I brought our daughter and two young visitor friends to enjoy the music and light-show last night. Wonderful! The consensus among our crew is this choreographed music-and-lights show is the best we've seen anywhere outside of the Black Rock Desert, eclipsed only by the various morphs of the Cubatron at Burning Man. Excellent choices of music for this Xmas show, too. Such a gift to the community, especially for the little kids (and kids at heart)!

Hi Sandy!

Luckily, my neighbor directly across from me is very nice enough to allow me to use his driveways AND he helps me do traffic control too!

Thanks for coming by and enjoying the punalights!
