I'm sitting on the porch up in HAA and there are flashes lighting up the entire horizon.

Any idea what's going on?

Big storm in Hilo tonight. Wouldn't know it by the weather in puna, but several flights couldn't even land. I was picking someone up, and his flight was diverted to Kona.

Lightening? I know in Juneau and Anchorage I never saw any lighting so maybe it's your first time seeing lighting?

Had it all the time. Guess it's just being at a way different altitude.
