Satellite photos Japan before and after
#1
Notice the icon in the middle of the photos like a blue slide bar...it allows you to move the after photo back and forth exposing the condition before and after.

The photos on the left side of the screen are prior to the earthquake.....

Tourist numbers from Japan will be down for a while, and no doubt there will be mainlanders canceling their holidays here because of the radiation "threat". Not good for Hawaii employment, taxation, the economy in general. But temporary.

Today's Star Bulletin has an article about the tourism effect. Substantial cancellations both ways. Japanese tour groups to Hawaii are canceling and Hawaiian tour groups to Japan are canceling. There is talk about the Feds evacuating something like 87 thousand US citizens from Japan with some unknown number toward Hawaii... but the article says there have been no large scale bookings at hotels on Oahu yet.
Assume the best and ask questions.

Is this the same 808 who made postings about Samoa, Prince Charles and fast-food vouchers?
