When contacted via phone to discuss insurance, all I got was curt replies. Was not interested in seeing us in person. Maybe I called on a busy day, or the day was not going well, but this really stood out against how helpful everyone else had been to us.
I was really disappointed.

I dunno when we called Allstate when the house was in escrow, they were real friendly. Since we didn't get the house, I couldn't tell you how they were after the first contact, but they were polite, friendly and returned calls promptly.

Then I extend that visual to those caring hands cradling and protecting hundreds of thousands of families in Florida...

So, the original poster was asked if the agency they complained about was Allstate, they said, "no," then everyone jumped on to bash Allstate. Am I missing something?

Does Hawai'i have insurance brokers where you can walk in, and they'll compare what you want and prices, finding you an option or two? We use a local broker for our Senior Housing. She has been really good, at finding insurance that works with our 30+ years old plumbing. States may have different rules, and I don't yet know if that is a universal occupation in every state. As always I google the heck out of my choices and add that to my decision making. Surely someone has a good company to recommend.
