June 23rd date for Redistricting Meeting

The word has finally come down from the State, that the contract with ESRI for the software with the embedded Census numbers will be signed on June 14th. Therefore, the next scheduled meeting for the Redistricting Commission will be on June 23rd at 1:30 pm at the Hilo council chambers. Included in the agenda will be demonstrations and training on GIS and the new software, and members of the public who want to try their hand at a new council district map can attend and learn how to do it.
