I am making a 60 gal. sprayer rig for croqi frogs
I am looking for advise on pump selection
Centrifugal
piston
Diaphragm
I am wondering how much pressure and volume you need ideally.
Do you need a drenching application?
Do you need a high pressure stream to penetrate leafy area?
And what type of pump holds up best with the acid or lime?
I have been looking at the Hypo pump and gas engine combos that run about 800 $ and I will use a jet agitator in the tank.
Any help from folks who use this typ of larger equipment would be greatly aapriciated, Thanks

Citric acid is very expensive now and you would go through it very quickly with such a big sprayer. Lime is only effective if you hit the frog directly. I have seen a 50 lb bag of lime mixed in a huge sprayer hauled behind a big truck with several hundred gallons of water (300 I think?) emptied very quickly on an empty lot full of frogs. The next day the trees looked like a northern winter but the frogs were not bothered for long. Most of them hid under the leaves and once the lime water mixture dried, they were safe.
Do you use a small sprayer now effectively?
I don't mean to be negative, but that's a lot of money to spend and I don't know if you will be happy with the results. We do everything we can think of: hand catching, hand squashing, shooting (small plastic spring loaded gun from Walmart with plastic bullets), baking soda with a leaf blower, pool toy sprayer to spray citric acid high up for the ones in trees. We have yet to find one method to get rid of them.

Have you ever experimented with a powerful sprayer, I think if you are going to go chemical on the frogs ( I am not walking down my gulch to look for tree climbing frogs! by hand) any one would be better with a larger volume of spray, bigger than a hand pump sprayer, something like 4-5 gal per min. I am not considering expense I am considering what would be affective. I think if that lot you mentioned was drenched that way with one of the chemicals regularly you would see a drop in population in that area. And then a continuing maintenance spray thereafter.
But I am looking for specific answers about an optimal pump for a Croqi Killer spray rig?
