has anyone had any experience with these homes. Really like the styles have lots of building experience. Just wondered if anyone had put one of these up and their experience with it. Mahalo

they are great homes and we were considering building one ourselves but a few things stopped us. The first was the price. They are expensive for what you get. There is a lot of finnishing expense that is not included. Also the amount of wood to keep up turned us off. Michael at Multi-fatceted homes said he stains his house yearly to keep it up. They are a good outfit with a good reputation though.

When it comes to building does anyone know if there is a 1 price deal out there. What I mean is...are there companies that will give you one price for the whole "shabang" the Home Kit, the prep and construction stuff of the land, the building the kit, and putting the home together on the inside, wiring, plubming all that stuff? Basically can you just talk to a company and get everything in one package without having to go out there and look for a million different peopple to do a million different things?

It's called a general contractor! You get a bid for a finished home.

My drafter pointed out that it is not cheaper to do a kit than a custom. I suggest you find a kit design you like, modify it to meet your needs and have it drafter up.

I hadn't realized you need original plans for a kit to get the permit and it costs the same as any other drafting... by the foot...

You ask the contractor for a turn key contract. Means move in ready.

You can also hire someone to manage the project for you. They will want a fee based on the amount of work you want them to do and the time frame.
