Is your power out?

Got home from Hilo just as power went out, and no lights on Keaukaha Point. But now the point is lit up again, not here though. (north of Hilo) Wondering what is up in Puna and Hilo town ...

No power problems in HPP. Although I just got my Helco bill and almost had a heart attack. We were gone a month to Australia and shut the power off to the house for the month. The meter reader read the meter wrong. My bill was $500.00. I guess he couldn't belive the meter didn't move for the month...so he added a digit.

Good Helco news or bad?

I found out where the outage is -- Papaikou to Honoka'a, cause unknown.

Not halfway up on the maku'u end, although when I drove home from work tonight there was a trash tree leaning on the lower wires and our neighbors' cable may be out from that.

On Kaloli Point, HPP (Kaloli Drive side of the point). No outage here but there was a glitch at around 7pm - probably coincided with your outage, macuu222.

Just heard from neighbor on 6th have power...but 5th on down doesnt on the Makuu side. Must be a tree. Helco has dispatched a crew.....whatever that means.

Yep, heart-stopping glitch on Kaloli Point. Why does everything that isn't primarily a clock have to have a clock?
