Kill em fast, before they turn into a hard green bug with spines.... they are sucking the joints of the plant....
dont know its name, but Im 95% sure I have them same kine now and again on my Poha Berry plants
the ones I have ....if you move your hand near them they move to other side of branch, they got good eyes
PS Poha and Pepper are both 'nightshades', so it makes sense they are on it...

dont let them turn into adults, when they are hard and green they are faster and can fly too, they are hard and look like a thorn when they are still.... Bad Bad Bug IMO
looks like they like all the nightshades, ie tomato, pepper, poha, eggplant, etc.

Bananahead do you know how to kill them? I sprayed insecticidal soap on them and not sure if that's going to do it or if I have to hand remove them?

If there is only a few I smash em, the green one I knock to ground and step on them before they fly away
I also use Sevin (in a red bottle, concentrated white milky stuff, bought at Walmart) on my plants w/bugs, but I know many dont like pesticides...
I usually use Sevin mainly on my hibiscus that has the blister mites
dishsoap will suffocate some bugs, and neem oil will keep em and most bugs/birds/people away, but its not really a killer...
