Supernatural Places on Hawaii Island
#11
No first hand knowledge, but a number of friends have worked at Keonepoko Elementary through the years. Incredibly gorgeous campus, but some otherworldly stories. Multiple blessing ceremonies over time -- in addition to those conducted at the groundbreakings -- as a result of such stories. Built on an old battleground apparently. And, well, now they've been pressured by rather more spooky/tangible/red-hot forces to evacuate.

Hopefully one day they'll be given permission -- by the DOE, Pele, and whatever restless kolohe spirits wander those parts -- to return.

Aloha all,

Here in Hamakua, everyone seems to have a Night Marcher story in Waipio. Some of the old timers (70 yrs +) get Chicken Skin every time they go down.
