question about portable dishwasher

Although I'm looking for a "portable" unit I'm considering a semi-permanent installation. I found these gems that will take care of the fact that we have a pull-out faucet that won't accept a portable dishwasher hose:

And Kalakoa, do you really think a building permit is required to install a "T'? Have you noticed how many unpermitted homes, ohanas, and junkyards there are in Puna?

terracore, we got a roll-around portable from Sears several years ago and I recommend it. It's small and run only every couple days. I haven't noticed a spike in electrical usage with it. It also does not seem to take up much water which had been a worry. Some study says that you use more water washing by hand.

It does tie up the faucet and is kinda loud but it washes dishes much better than I do by hand. When not in use it is against the wall and is handy extra counter space.

Exceeds the de minimis requirements for a plumbing permit.

Problem being: enforcement is "complaint driven" and at the whim of County officials. It's nice to believe that "rules are for everyone", but they clearly aren't.
