Hey Nate, we just bought the same TV 2 days
ago. Watched it yesterday. Bought the adjustable
wall mount also. OMG Love it. And with the 2 year warranty. less worries.

I went with LCD. I heard Plasma generates more heat and uses more power. Also that you can burn an image into a Plasma screen easier. Not sure if that's true or not though.

I have a 42" plasma TV and I have to confirm what CaliHi says.
1) High power usage (300W will cost you about 10 cents / hour at Helco rates, not awful, but...)
2) burns in easily (do not use a plasma set as a computer monitor!)
and I'll add:
3) black level, at least on my unit, is poor. I'm a bit of a technojunkie, so this is the worst drawback, IMO. I want black to be black.
Now, you're probably wondering why I have a plasma set. Two reasons: 1) It's two years old, when LCDs were nasty expensive. 2) I won a $2400 set for $40 worth of raffle tickets.
