Gambling in Hawaii
#51
How about a state run lottery with an expiration date . Allow a lottery for a 5 year period... (enough time for Hawaii to get out of this economic mess).... with no possibility for renewal after the 5 years are up?

LOL...

Yep... here is some freedom... but only on loan... it expires in 5 years... or until the nanny state is back on its feet.

Gambling is legal, Jon. We are free to get together for a poker game anytime we want. There just can't be a "House" that collects a percentage of all wagers.(Don't forget the IRS, though)

You ask what is there to talk about as far as casinos or lottery ?

Beats me. I like Hawaii just fine without that stuff.

Its nice that you like with out that stuff, I like it with out legal dope use... but its not all about you or I, its about all of us, and if a new revenue stream is not found Hawaii will have to start taxing like California does... and you can see how well that has worked out.

I see no reason Hilo and Kona could not have casinos, its not like the dope shops that would spring up on every corner, casinos would need to be docks and airports. They could be zoned in to these areas.
