There's a patch of strawberry guava on the lot next to ours that seems to be dying. I'm not complaining!
Has anyone else seen this? The leaves are dropping off, and it's spreading to the other trees. It could be drought (we're in lower HPP) or someone could've poisoned it - unlikely but possible.
Whatever it is, I hope it spreads.

No sign of guava die off on my property.
Assume the best and ask questions.

The woods are tinder-dry, and many trees and plants shed leaves to conserve moisture during drought conditions.

Can you describe it? More detail. It's not drought up here. I've got some guava that's afflicted with some sort of virus or wasp issue as well. Just curious if someone's taken matters into their own hands.

i agree with jane, thats a natural characteristic of surviving in a dryer environment....hopefully the rains will come back again soon![

There are brown marks running along sections of the sides of the leaves, sometimes at the tips.
Another possibility is salt spray, some trees were cut recently which expose them more to the ocean (about 100 yards away).
