Neil Abercrombie in Puna
#11
While I'm not a single issue voter either, Abercrombie is the only one of the 3 who is not a religious fanatic anti-gay bigot. As a gay person I can't imagine actively voting for someone who wants me to remain a 2nd class citizen based on their interpretation of some phony religious text, which constitutionally, has no place in the political sphere. While it's unfortunate that he resigned, the law mandates that Hanneman would have to resign to run, so in the interest of making things equal it makes sense that Abercrombie resigned too. It's a stupid law if you ask me, but it's also absurd that Hanneman has an active campaign and signs around the state when he is not officially running. It's seems like he's flouting the law and should just sh*t or get off the pot!
