I use this thing ... it's like 4' wide by 3' long... It's very reliable.

It's called a window! Big Grin Hahaha

Tho, I think the best thing to do is mount a web cam on a pole high enough to look out on the horizon to see what's coming. Smile

Check out my website, it's what I use for my kayak fishing. If you call 935-8555 it's pretty accurate because they update it every 12 hours. My favorite doppler is "Northeast Pacific Rainbow Color Infrared Loop".
