Mahalo for sharing TomK [Smile] Yes I recognize the place...I have taken a lot of photos along the cliffs over the years...very inspirational location...and an always changing subject. Your technique produces beautiful art pieces. Do you have that particular photo on your wall at home?

Mermaid - no, I don't have that particular one on my wall, but did give a framed version to my mum back in the UK for her birthday! I do have some of mine on my walls (home and work). This is my particular favorite:

"Gemini opening for the night"...beautiful.

Interesting seeing the contrast in your photos of high energy (ocean), and quiet serenity (Mauna Kea), both calming and meditative.

Ever think of putting a Mauna Kea photo book together?

Mermaid - I've made photo books plus the odd calendar for family and friends, but just as gifts and certainly nothing commercial. Although some of my pictures have appeared in magazines and books, I can't make any money from them (the MK ones that is). You need a permit for commercial photography at the summit.

In any case, I've never done any photography for money. It's just a hobby and I have fun trying to make the pictures look nice! Wish I had more time for it these days.

Sorry, this discussion has gone way off course so I'll nip it in the bud right now...

I posted this last night in anticipation of April 1st, but it inspired me to post an April fool's joke here, so deleted it to avoid giving things away.

Anyway, since it's still April 1st, I said you can find some details of Hale Pohaku here:
