I hope I used enter enough for the person who said I didn't have enough white space so they din't read my post! LMAO its probably more due to my long winded opinions ;D
OOppsss!! Sorry about the empty post.
Just wanted to say that I read your post this time as well. The spaces make all the difference. Too hard to follow line for line when the text is so compact and my aging eyes are so fatigued.
I grew up in the land of questionable Michigan Militia (think Timothy McVeigh), and wild game for dinner. While my family armed the house like there was an invasion coming any second, I could never get comfortable with guns and bullets. They were "weapons to protect our home against the collapse", and they were guns for "taking game" and filling the freezer and canning jars. Both ends of the spectrum. I still own my Dad's old 308, the rifle that dropped over 100 deer, but have no idea where the clip is anymore.
While I respect and support the right to bear arms, I'd feel a lot better if the arms were still the muskets and rifles our forefathers used. I don't really believe my rifle is going to save me against drones if my government decides it wants to declare war on Hawaii.
I do think my rifle will help if the wild dogs attack or a wild boar shows up on my doorstep.
And I wholeheartedly agree that we are all entitled to our own opinions and should treat each other with respect and civility while we voice our thoughts. Please remember that one of the reasons we fell in love with Hawaii is because of the aloha. Let's show some!
Be discerning and never forget that cream and pond scum both rise to the top.
