Has rained here both Thursday night and Friday night.

We have gone almost 6 weeks in this time period with less than 1" of rain/day some years. (We lived in HA at the time - and made choices such as take laundry to laundramat, dont wash car etc... our 10K catchment only dropped about 20" - still 1/2 full....)

Against the DOH "rules" we use the washer grey water to water our plants...

Also here is a link to the map published May 1 from NOAA: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/img/climate/res.../dmcur.gif

down in HPP my yard has turned brown!!!! But for the past week or so Puna has been getting rain! So I feel we are safe for now . But again I will say it. All indications point to a dry summer thanks in part to "La Nina",which has been predicted for the past year for this season!
