Carjacking This Morning - Suspect Being Sought
#41
Tom, 10% is in my head, too. I gather in this instance, for all this idiot did (the list is so damn long), he comes up with 10% and walks free until his court date (if he shows up)? WTH?

Good point about the disruption on Mauna Kea all damn day! Geeze.

I still can't get over what that poor woman went through when he jacked her car. What a POS. (Sorry) This place we all call home is going to hell in a handbasket daily. Right down the tubes. JMO.

Ugh! [Sad!]

Normally bail bond is 10% in most states, including Hawaii....and the amount is based on many factors, including the potential that the accused may flee...

Based on the accused priors, esp. the 2012 record, it seems this guy likes to stay and repeatedly commit felonies, rather than flee...so maybe the judge took that into account (OK, I do feel that this is a very twisted logic based on the previous felonies...but...well I have no idea why else this bail is set where it is...)
